What does it do?
PC-EFT Virtual POS is part of the Host PC-EFT family of solutions, allowing the capture and processing of card not present transactions directly into a hosted data entry screen, negating the need to store card details locally on the merchant’s site.
Virtual POS is ideal for merchants with internet access, who require the ability to capture and process card data, quickly and easily directly into a browser based screen. It negates the need to integrate existing applications and the overhead of having to manage securing card data locally.
How does it work?
A secure user login is provided allowing the operator to connect to a browser based screen on the Servebase Managed Payment Service. The connection is made over the internet using a secure http internet link.
The operator then captures card details directly into the hosted data entry screen, where the details are validated and upon completion sent using the Servebase payment service to your acquiring bank for authorisation.
A response is then sent back to the operator advising if the transaction has been successful.
Once the operator accepts the authorisation response on the screen, the transaction is then submitted for settlement at the end of the day or as required.
