PC-EFT POS is one of our seamlessly integrated PC-EFT family of solutions, created to enable you to process magnetic stripe and chip and PIN transactions easily and securely over the Internet with no need for local servers or additional communication lines.
An out of the box solution using a standard easy to integrate API, PC-EFT POS is equipped to manage the entire chip and PIN process between your business application, which could include a point-of-sale, property management system or booking application, and acquiring bank.
Supporting the latest industry standard Fixed and Mobile Pin Entry Devices (PEDS) over RS232 or IP connections, PC-EFT POS also provides full terminal management for easy support, the solution being entirely managed and updated from one central point.
- PC-EFT POS uses a PA-DSS client which resides on the same terminal as the business application, communicating between the application and PED.
- On receipt of an authorisation request from the business application, the PC-EFT client connects with the PED and your customer is asked to confirm the amount and enter their PIN.
- Once these details are verified, PC-EFT client connects securely to the Servebase Managed Payment Service, where they are validated, then sent to your acquiring bank for authorisation.
- The authorisation response is then returned via PC-EFT client to the PED, where your customer is prompted to remove card. Once the transaction is concluded, the response is returned by PC-EFT client back to the business application for completion and confirmation of settlement sent to the Servebase Managed Payment Service.
- In the event of communication failure between your system and the Servebase Managed Payment Service, PC-EFT client processes any transactions which can be authorised ‘offline,’ then forwards them to the Servebase Managed Payment Service for settlement once communication is restored.
